Who is at the Table
Chefs for Peace embraces the universal power and passion of food in communicating shared experiences. Building on this understanding, we work closely with other bridge-building organizations and individuals who are committed to creating and sustaining professional and social networks. Our community of chefs demonstrate the desirability and the possibility to create new productive relationships based on mutual respect for others. In this effort Chefs for Peace prepares food and organizes activities and events for organizations, groups, and individuals committed to promoting coexistence, tolerance and peace. Examples include:
- Interfaith gatherings
- Lifecycle celebrations
- Private parties and galas
- Business or corporate events
- College campus events and youth group activities
- Special cooking classes for Jews and Arabs, including those specifically for children
- Culinary tours of Jerusalem's Old City in the East and Machane Yehuda open air market in the West.
